Pretty easy. Take your time setting up and read the instructions a couple of times because they aren't totaly obviouse. The instructions could be better, but the one touch tilt does work well, just remember to tighten it down befor you hang it, then with a simple flip counter clockwise on each side it loosens enough to tilt the tv. Solid construction, hung on it myself and I weigh 200 lbs. Looked at some that were cheaper but when it comes down to a $1600 tv wanted to make sure it worked. Looked for a long time on what I wanted to hang my 50in Samsung plasma and decided on this one. The unit works great. Rotate clockwise to tighten back up.
We used 3 people to hang the TV, but I suppose it could be done with 2 for a lighter set. It took multiple attempts to get the viewing angle just right, so be prepared to mount, remove, adjust and remount. The most important part is measuring and remeasuring.I mounted a 50" Panasonic plasma, which weighed approximately 80 lbs. The directions were clear and easy to understand. I was a bit skeptical when buying, but after reading the reviews I decided to purchase this bracket. The item was shipped quickly, as arrived as described. Originally, I thought that this item would cost closer to $200. I inspected the bracket and was surprised at the quality of the and the amount of extra hardware that was included that would get you through just about any installation. I was nervous as the bracket on the wall did not look very substantial (and the TV was expensive), so I applied most of my weight to it and it supported me with no problem.
If you want a well made low cost bracket this is the one. The ST660 comes with screws in many sizes and will fit just about any set I have ever installed. It is a well constructed bracket and if you are sure of your ability will support a television right up to the limit stated. This bracket is priced lower then similar products that are half the quality of the Peerless ST660. I purchased a ST660 and had it in my hands from Amazon in three days. I installed it yesterday for a customer with a 47 inch lcd set. Tilting feature is nice but moves the tv off the bracket an inch or two where the non-tilt version brings the television closer to the wall which I think looks nicer.
Then plug in all your cables by tilting the TV up to get at them and check to make sure the set is working properly. Then tighten down the tilt lock screws at the tilt you want and you are golden. The way the tilt mechanism is designed requires you to push on the top part of the TV to tilt the unit up, you can not tilt it up by applying outward pressure to the bottom of the TV.It is very hard to tighten the locking screws once the tilt is locked in. The kit includes lots of screws and spacers to mount your TV to the mount and I had all the parts I needed. The mount is easy to install and the tilt mechanism works fairly well. The instructions are not the greatest but ok. I bought this mount to install my Samsung 46LNS46 LCD TV on my bedroom wall. The mount appears to be well made and was definately strong enough to hold up my TV which weights around 80 pounds. It is also a lot easier to install all the cables to the unit befre you lock the tilt in.The easiest way to do it once you install the TV on the wall is to screw down the locking screws on the mount while tilting the TV up on the mount.
Very easy to put up and attach TV. Nice tilt feature to get the right picture quality and angles.
